Talks & Events Programme for 2026
We have a varied programme of talks, visits, trips and social events planned throughout the year.
Talks normally begin at 7.30 p.m. in Corbridge Parish Hall. Please arrive early, as tea, coffee and biscuits will be served before the talk begins.

Helen Lucas – Introducing Orchids
An introduction to the fascinating world of orchids.
February
Thursday 19th February – 2.30 p.m.
Talk – Corbridge Parish Hall
Simon Thompson – Head Gardener, National Trust, Wallington Hall
Simon will talk about managing a National Trust garden and the seasonal challenges involved.
March

Annual General Meeting & Talk – Corbridge Parish Hall
Stuart Lees, Perennial – Creating Adventurous Container Gardening
Our AGM will be followed by a talk from Stuart Lees of Perennial on creating adventurous and inspiring container displays.

Spring Show – Corbridge Parish Hall
Come along and enjoy our annual Spring Show, celebrating the gardening achievements of our members.

Annual Plant Sale – Corbridge Parish Hall
Our popular annual plant sale, with a great selection of plants for your garden.
Tynedale Horticultural will also be attending.

Corbridge Open Gardens
Come and explore a selection of gardens in and around Corbridge.

Thursday 2nd July
Self-Drive Visit – Cresswell Pele Tower Walled Garden
Cost: £5.00 per member
An opportunity to visit this interesting and historic walled garden.
Tuesday 14th – Friday 17th July
Holiday Trip – Dumfries & Galloway
Our four-day holiday will be based at Gretna Hall Hotel.
Cost: £529 per person

Tina will share her experiences of making the transition from amateur gardening to professional horticulture.
