Corbridge Gardening Society Talks & Events Programme for 2026

Talks normally begin at 7.30 p.m, in Corbridge Parish Hall, please arrive early as we will be serving Tea/ coffee & biscuits prior to their commencement.

Helen Lucas – Introducing Orchids

February: Thursday 19th February - 2:30pm, Talk, Corbridge Parish Hall

Simon Thompson, Head Gardener at National Trust, Wallington Hall, will be speaking about managing a National Trust property garden and the seasonal challenges involved.

March: Thursday 19th March - 7:30pm, AGM in Corbridge Parish Hall, Talk

Stuart Lee from Perennial will be talking about creating Adventurous Container Gardening

March: Thursday 26th March 2025, 7:30pm, Spring Show, Corbridge Parish Hall.

May: Thursday 21st May Corsock house & Drumlanrig Castle

£42.50 per person (members) & £48.50 non-members, to include coach travel and entrance to both attractions – 

May: Saturday 23rd May 2025, 10:00 am, Plant Sale, Corbridge Parish Hall,

Tynedale Horticultural to attend

June: Sunday 21st June, Corbridge Open Gardens.

Gardens open from 1:00pm to 5:00pm

July: Thursday 2nd July Self Drive visit to Cresswell Pele Tower walled garden.

Cost £5.00 per member

July: Tuesday 14th to Friday 17th Holiday Trip to Dumfries & Galloway,

stay at Gretna Hall hotel, cost £529.00 per person (+ £100. 00 single supplement), visits to Dunesslin, Drumpark, Dumfries House, Threave, 3 Mill Hall, Southwick House & The Crichton

September: Thursday 3rd September, Day Trip to Breezy Knees & Burnby Hall, Yorkshire,

£42.50 per person (members) & £48.50 non-members, to include coach travel and entrance to both attractions –

November:  Thursday 19th November, 7:30pm, Talk, Corbridge Parish Hall, Tina Snowball - Amateur Gardener to Professional Horticulture my First Season at Stagshaw Estate
